Honey seems to be making some improvement today. They keep trying to manage her pain sans pump, so far D+. Shes done a better job of eating. I went home for a few hours to eat lunch and to begin tackling the Christmas undecorating. Help is on its way in the form of our son, Nathan. Honey is sleeping. Returning mid-afternoon, two of our new friends, Kent and Kathy were also arriving at Honeys door. Honey was feeling pretty perky (compared to every other day this week) and we enjoyed a nice visit with them. A short time later Joe and Gwen dropped in. Caring friends are such blessings and we have many. Though today is gray and rainy these two couples brought sunshine into our room. Kent and Kathy brought Honey a canvas wall hanging about the size of a floor tile that reads: peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. Those lines could easily be included in the 121st Psalm and make perfect sense and even harmony. Thanks Kathy and Kent. We found a spot in our hospital room where Honey and her helpers can see it. Uh oh, shes out again. And thats the news from Lake Wobegon. M & H
