Hong Kong, Chinas special administrative region, was the British colony from 1839. Great Britain established this one as a trading region until 1997. So Hong Kong would almost be the last European colony in Asia (while the last one in Asia is Macau from Portugal). Due to the financial policy, the biggest trading and banking center of the world, Hong Kong economy and income have grown continuously.
