Honourable Trs:Its been heavy tides in a rough sea, a lonely fight in the jungle with every successive Govts. On this Mashujaa Day-We remember our fallen galant predecessors and Heroes,The late Ambrose Deya Adongo, John Katumanga, Okuta Osiany name them..We lament with the families of our grass root commanders:The Late Brother Koech KNUT Nandi Central V Chair,Bro Aende KNUT Homa Bay V Chair,All Trs who hav continued teachin in harsh economic straits impacting negatively on their work and socio-economic status in society due to poor terms and conditions of service by Govt- indeed Our Mighty Union remember the efforts and immense contributions. Its also worth celebrating our current leadership for the achievements gained and sustained. Above all, Colleagues,due to messages and inboxes i would like to respond to a few issues i had addressed in KNUT Kyuso AGM(Mwingi)Which cut across nationally.They are as follows-: 1)KNUT will NEVER relent on push for 3Qs in Education(Enough Quality teachers + Quality tools + Quality environment)= Quality Education.Hence The Government should invest in the future by investing in Trs.If Government DOESNT love Trs then they CANNOT love the Children trs are teaching. 1)Trs are tired,patients fading:its time for the Govt to restore Trs lost hope otherwise Trs will not live the word STRIKE as just a six letters word in the Dictionary:We will go practical- God will decide our fate-Trs DONT EAT Negotiations. 2) Anybody thinking of devolving Education is purely Day Dreaming.Trs Will only support a move that will Okoa Mwalimu and result into Pesa mfukoni-Meeting Trs 37 Demands is the only means to decentralise funds and services.A practical creation of 500,000 jobs by Jubelee Government as Trs are the Number one employer and investor in every village. #Brothers and Sisters in the Union: 3)Knut has fought TSC Claims of under 8,000 Trs deserving promotions to 40,369 whose promotions are currently being processed(This involves all cadres).The Union rightly affirm that promotions should NOT be favour by TSC but a continuous process. 4)KNUT is not primarily the story of ONE Man as our desperate and attention seeking enemies would love to champion- I personally and humbly plead with Trs to exercise patients since the Negotiations have Not Collapsed.Our Spokesperson The SG will communicate the verdict of 24th meeting-a pronouncements reached by NEC which is likened to a Cabinet. #Its my kind caution to members herein in social media to be careful not to lose control of feelings in denunciation of our Union lest they serve the uncountable enemies we have.
