Hooked on A Feeling . . . Linda and I saw Guardians of The Galaxy today and I must say that it was surprisingly a great movie! It contained all of the elements of a classic film and they were well balanced. Of course it isnt a serious science fiction film and that is perhaps one of the main reasons it is successful. It takes one back to the much less complicated years of early science fiction which was designed primarily for entertainment with no need to establish a logical basis for the usual story elements. I found that I could simply sit back and enjoy a fortuitous private screening since it was well past the premiere date and schools were back in session. :D If you want a fun movie with action, adventure and FUN then this is the movie for you even if you are not into science fiction space films. The soundtrack was a mix of classic vintage light rock music which actually worked very well with the mood of the film. A more traditional orchestration also accompanied the various scenes.
