Ive been checking the auction site all day....the Falklands Framed auction has just surpassed the £4,000 mark!! :D :D :D Three very talented ladies have been busy #felting with #Falklands #wool for their #FalklandsFramed pieces. I love how Zhanna describes working with this medium: ‘Creating a painting with a natural material – wool’. Hattie Kilmartins #underwater themed piece The Hunted Hunter is phenomenal! From photos Ive seen of the #exhibition I think her #Gentoo #penguin comes out about a foot from the frame! #Marine #Biologist at the #Fisheries Department Zhanna Shcherbichs #octopus is stunning and for a bit of fun even includes glow-in-the-dark suckers! Rosemary Wilkinsons piece entitled Welcome to the Dance is so pretty and so much fun. It celebrates #Falkland #shindigs, which tend to be fun, lively and exhausting events. Bids for these fantastic pieces currently stand at £115, £140 & £65 respectively :D The auction will conclude on Saturday 8th November at 2pm in the Falklands. The Falklands Framed exhibition is on view in #Stanley in the building of the old Kandy Kabin, adjacent to Tasty Treats on Philomel Street opposite the Globe Tavern. From Saturday 1st November – Saturday 8th November. Sat 10am - 2pm, Mon - Fri 10am - 4pm
