Hope Rescue BORIS THE AMERICAN BULLDOG UPDATE Thank you so much for all your lovely messages of support for Boris. Last night was the coldest night of the year so we were so relieved that the trap worked first time. Boris is now safe and warm in our kennels thanks to the help and support of the lovely locals. He has been reported to the pound as found, and will be doing his statutory 28 days with us as his finders. If he is not claimed then he will move into our care as a Hope Rescue dog. He is a lovely dog and it only took a matter of minutes for him to come round and give us gentle kisses and cuddles at the vets. He is super friendly and already a favourite in kennels. He is back at the vets tomorrow for a full vet check although he doesn’t seem to be any worse for wear after his ordeal. A number of people have kindly asked if they can contribute to his care. We wouldn’t normally launch an appeal for an individual dog unless they needed extraordinary vet care. However, as so many well-wishers have asked we have set up a special Justgiving Page for him with an initial target of £200 to cover his kennelling cost for the first 28 days, and his vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and Adaptil collar. We can’t neuter him until his 28 days are up unfortunately but we will have a Dogs Trust voucher for that when he is ready.
