Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It was wonderful to spend the last two days with my family! I have so much to be thankful for!They enjoyed seeing the kids and everyone was impressed with her progression of recovery! For me I see her every day so I dont always see how far she is progressing if that makes sense. When I was in the hospital at Emmas bedside no one could tell me what to expect with her recovery. All the doctors knew is she would live. I made a promise to her that no matter what i would show her love and quality of life! My family was more concerned-having worked in the medical field they did not want to see a shell of the girl she use to be. They were so happy to see an almost 2 year old girl smiling, laughing, talking, and her fiesty independent personality was very much present!! I was giving Doodlebug her meds this morning and surprise she pushed off on her left leg crawling herself backwards! i was like way to go and at the same time hang on lol! Really awesome! Shes leaving her eating utensil on her tray n using it randomly. i think we r getting closer to her eating with it more consistently! I posted a picture of her standing. This is called a gait trainer. Hopefully by putting her in it she will start to figure out to take steps on her own! it needs to be adjusted as she is leaning to the side so i will bring that up with therapy :)) i am going to meet with a landlord on a house that is for rent tomorrow. Its perfect for our family! It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in the country!It has a nice playroom for the kids! A nice front and back yard! I really love it! I am praying the landlord says it is mine! i am ready to move on and create new memories with our new life.
