Responsibilities: Drive to homes of clients, pick up dogs, take them on off leash group adventures or private walks as required. Puppy visits, boarding and pet sitting are also services we offer. -Arrange and undertake client meetings and consultations. -Communicate with clients and Owner of WWM daily regarding visits & walks etc via email, text, phone or written notes. Qualifications: -Must have a working smartphone with text, internet and camera capabilities -Must have an insured and reliable vehicle, preferably a hatchback/SUV/Wagon. NO PICKUP TRUCKS. Please note that this job requires a lot of driving (and you are not paid for gas or kilometres) -Must be physically fit and able to lift ~50lbs, as well as walk for long periods of time. --Must have strong multi-tasking capabilities. -Weekends, evenings and some holiday work will be required (1.5x reg. pay on holidays) -Must provide a cleared criminal record check -Ability to stay calm and collected in any emergency or stressful situations -Must track your own independent contractor expenses to claim for income tax purposes. -Graduation from a Veterinarian Assistant or Technician program is a strong asset. -Certification in Animal First Aid and CPR (if not certified, you must obtain certification from the earliest available course). -Experience in the animal industry or equivalent is an asset. -Experience as a dog owner or walker/caretaker. -Must have strong customer service and communication skills. You will be dealing with people on a regular basis. -Strong ability to work with little to no supervision. -Strong attention to detail -Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and compassion. -Moderate computer literacy and skills to use a web browser, email, Microsoft Office. Phone skills required--text messaging, picture taking, email etc. -Moderate administrative skills. -Moderate grammatical and spelling skills. You will be a representative of the company!
