Horse Breeding Spat Settled in Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals The court ruled that Everest Stables breached the agreement by setting a reserve price on the filly (by allegedly planting an agent at the sale) and Crestwood Farm was entitled to the disputed $219,513.89. Because a clause in the agreement said the prevailing party in any disputes was entitled to attorney’s fees, the judge also ordered Crestwood be awarded $272,486.30 in legal costs.
