Hosea 1-2 & Hebrews 13-James 1 Heb. 13:20-21 “Now may the God - TopicsExpress

Hosea 1-2 & Hebrews 13-James 1 Heb. 13:20-21 “Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” “...and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ...” How refreshing that is to me! Sometimes I feel as if I have to keep pushing myself more and more to continue in spiritual growth. While it is important for an individual to make praying and time with God through His word a priority, my growth is in His hands. There are folks who know the Bible in & out but are as spiritually deep as a mud puddle. Others are in the process but have a faith that could move mountains. This verse encourages me b/c its a reminder that its not about what Im doing but ultimately what Christ has already done. He made the first move in providing a way for me to be in right standing with God. Because of Jesus, I have the Holy Spirit so that God can work in me what is pleasing to Him. I dont say all this to promote idleness/laziness. Spurring others on to get in the word daily is actually a huge passion of mine. I say all this to share the encouragement I received from His word...rest in the truth that He is molding you and will not stop until your day of completion. Even if you feel you are standing still, remember that He is not. Through the Holy Spirit in your life, God is at work.
