Hospitalization day 26 Im nervous. Like first date, drivers test, signing mortgage nervous. Elias needs to have a decent overnight saturation average for him to go home. I want to bring him home so badly. I want to let him play with his toys, sleep in his bed, eat real food full of vitamins and not pureed canned goods. I want his brother to give him daily kisses. I want to raise my eldest child and clean that foul mouth kindergarten has given him. I want to read him books, pick out his clothes, run him a bath, see him play hockey. I want to cook, clean my fridge, visit the hair dressers and color the 5 inches of grey hair that ages me. I want to wash and not worry about whos a*s the common showers curtain has touched. I want to use real toilet paper and not have eczema on my hands from over washing and drying them with sand paper. I want to go grocery shopping, I miss Costco. I want to give him his meds when its convenient for us and not because there is about to be a nurses shift change. I want to let a sleeping child sleep. I only want to see a thermometer when my kids feel warm. I want to wear clean clothes. I dont want to deal with arrogant, whacky, rude doctors and nurses (not all of course are this way). I want Elias to be home so we can be together as a family again.
