Host candidates for Afcon 2019, 2021 The Confederation of African Football has announced the host candidates for the next two Africa Cup of Nations. Algeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia have all put their names in the hat for the 2019 tournament, while Algeria, Ivory Coast and Guinea also put in bids for two years later. CAF reports that a single commission “shall be designated at the coming meeting of the Executive Committee” on February 21 in Cairo. This commission “shall be entrusted with carrying out the inspection visits to the bidding countries”. “As for the final vote for the designation of the countries that shall be hosting the Africa Cup of Nations editions 2019 and 2021, it shall be conducted during the CAF Executive Committee’s session; scheduled in September 2014. “This shall grant each bidding country the adequate amount of time to receive CAFs inspection delegation.”
