Hot and humid weather will persist across the region today through Tuesday. This afternoon skies will be partly to mostly sunny, with light winds and heat indices climbing into the mid 90s. On Tuesday severe weather is possible as a cold front moves through the region. At this time the best chance for severe storms appears to be in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. Looking ahead, cooler weather will settle in on Wendesday.
