Hot off the press – Strawberry take the lead again by being On the Market Here’s a bit of exciting news that’s hot off the press. Strawberry are very pleased to announce that we will be advertising our properties on the BRAND NEW PROPERTY PORTAL called ON THE MARKET. This new route to get in front of browsing buyers will go live in January and we will be amongst the very first to benefit from the opportunity. As most of our clients already know we are great fans of Rightmove – when used well (and of course we use it well) it can be a huge boost to reach those buyers who want to view every property within their search criteria from the comfort of their own homes. We know the number of people who have come to us via this route and whilst we believe that our service during viewings, the decision making process etc. contributes to achieving the eventual sale, we are big enough to accept that they might not have picked up on the property in the first place if it hadn’t been for a view on Rightmove. We believe that On the Market will offer a similarly wide reach amongst buyers and may even have some new ideas in terms of widening this audience further. The site is designed by agents for use by agents so it is genuinely exciting and a totally new approach to the market; one which we for sure want to use for the benefits of our clients. As of January therefore the properties which we are selling will be seen via Rightmove and On the Market so our vendors can be reassured that we are using every possible tool available. As far as the future is concerned, well watch this space; we put in a number of hours every week monitoring the results we get from Rightmove and from January we will be able to compare the two portals together and decide what’s best for our clients moving forward. More interestingly, not all agents will be able to utilise On the Market at its launch (or for the foreseeable future) as they are tied in to other agreements which would prevent them from advertising elsewhere – looks like Strawberry have the lead over other agents again!
