Housing Support Worker As a Housing Support Worker with us, you’ll help provide vital support to people with mental health needs in a supported housing setting. Our service users face unique challenges in their day-to-day lives. Join us and help them regain their self-esteem, well-being and independence. Your role as Housing Support Worker will see you: Be a keyworker to allocated service users ensuring they have up-to-date and complete support plans addressing their individual needs Advising on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, financial and budgeting matters Addressing their practical and emotional needs - from helping them to find employment, training or educational opportunities, to enabling them to grow in social confidence Provide housing related support to the tenants, enabling them to lead independent lives in the community Work closely with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations, making sure clients are referred to appropriate agencies for advice and counselling Develop close links with the local community, promoting a greater understanding of mental health issues Ensure the premises are in a good condition and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times This is a great opportunity to join a team that’s professional, committed and passionate about making a difference to those most in need of our help. You’ll need: A track record in Mental Health or related field Experience of supporting, empowering and engaging service users in a range of developmental, rehabilitative and community activities Able to identify and co-ordinate a range of services to meet individual needs Ability to work well under pressure and manage your own workload Admin know-how, with the proven ability to maintain up-to-date records and systems Good partnership working skills A flexible, positive approach and excellent communication skills Managing more than 120 services nationwide, Richmond Fellowship provides an immensely diverse range of services to people with mental health needs.
