How To Have Peace in Ife Land? The crisis that rocked Ife East in the on going registration exercise is unfortunate but indeed not new, the community is prone to violence at every election. Many wonder what are the role of elders of the community when it appears that thugs and miscreants have clearly taken over. These thugs allow peace at will and disrupt it also at will. On Wednesday 12th of March, 2014, armed thugs stormed the house of a 90 years old Pa Lawal at Iredumi, Ile-Ife harassing him and his 80 years old wife in an attempt to send a signal of do or die during the August election. The attack which raged for more than an hour occurred after many APC members have been wounded at the registration center in ward 2 of Ife East local government. It was a gory sight as the trio of Adewumi Adetola, Mrs Williams(Chair Person of the Ward), her son Abiodun Williams and many others were hurriedly taken to OAUThC to save their lives. The attackers were known PDP members and full-time thugs that were boasting they would chase all APC members out of Ife before the August election. Till now, the miscreants are still running from pillar to posts in order to evade arrest. As expected, Ayo Waska(a known fraudster), Bisi Elede, Fatai Ogede(PDP chairman in Ife East) and many others who spare headed the attack on the old man have started spewing sentiments to avoid the long arm of Law! The security agents know where these people live and it is only save for the community if these monsters are made to face the full wrath of the law. Who was Janjala and Who Killed him? On the dawn of 13th May 2014, it was reported that one Janjala was killed in Ward 2, the same ward where PDP members have earlier made attempt to snuff lives out of APC members. Report gathered indicated that the said Janjala was like a son to Pa Lawal having hailed from the same Okiti Compound. Who then killed Janjala? Investigation revealed that late Janjala was called out from his room to settle a scuffle between some spouse few blocks from his house. It was in the course that he was shot and killed! The question that came to mind readily was who called Janjala out in the mid-night to settle a scuffle? Who could Janjala trusted so much that he could come out and answer in the thick of the night? (Remember Janjala was a PDP member and he must be aware of the earlier attack on APC ).Who were the spouse involved in the said fight that the poor man was called to settle during which he was killed? The security agents should know they have lots of tasks on their hands as far as the murder of Janjala is concerned. The attempt of PDP members and their thugs to use Janjalas death as excuse to attack APC members in Ile-Ife was equally suspicious! Could PDP members killed Janjala(one of them) and blame APC in order to use the opportunity to route the progressive from Ife? Remember PDP members have boasted severally that no single APC would remain in Ife during August polls! The murder of Janjala and the PDP attacked that followed all over Ife, could it be that PDP are making good of their threats to mop up all APC members away from Ife? Hmmmm, God is alive and all murderers and their sponsors will not escape the wrath God the almighty. Last question, could those that attacked, wounded and made attempt at lives of APC members earlier killed Janjala in order to create diversion, complications and confusion? Could they have committed the crime so police would easily forget their heinous and earlier crimes? What is sure is that the two cases were different and all efforts must be made to make perpetrators face the wrath of Law! Fatai Ogede, Bisi Elelede, Ayo Waska, Rashid Loogun, Sule Atako, Joga and host of other that attacked APC members are already known, police should arrest them. They are notorious thugs that do not fit to live among human beings! Those that killed Janjala should be unraveled too as this is the only way to have peace in Ife Land.
