Were now at a crossroads, at the brink of a new global epoch of ecological disaster that is often called the Anthropocene, that has resulted from a negative trophic cascade following the introduction of the human species to every corner of the globe. A trophic cascade is described as an ecological process that starts at the top of a food chain and tumbles all the way down to the bottom.
