How can Muaz salute an army that killed his father? Muaz Mustafa Sayyed, a student from Egyptian governorate of Fayyoum, flashed four fingers of his hand to show Rabaa gesture in front of the governor of Fayyoum during the latter’s visit to the former’s school. The school saluted the governor with the song “May God Reward the Hands” while Muaaz was the only student to flash Rabaa gesture. When he did so, they took him to the headmaster’s room, and he was reprimanded and beaten by the headmaster and teachers. Asked by Aljazeera Mubasher Masr why he did so, the student said that his father was killed by the Egyptian army at Rabaa Al-Adawiya massacre on August 14, 2013, so how can he salute an army that killed his father.
