How can our Artists lead the way when our own leaders put up NO SOLICITING signs on the doors. When we are recieved coldly and rudely by some secretarys. Many First Nations welcome me with open arms, love and respect. Yet as non-first nation people sit in their galleries or play God with the aboriginal art market, not one leader has stood up to defend one artist! Artists do not seem interested either in banding together to support each other. I have many artists on my ftiends list who private messaged me telling me if I came out we could meet for coffee. The only other artist I met is Clayton Samuel King. It is disappointing to see how docile everyone is when there is no money involved and no bandwagon for them to grandstand from. No one helping each other, no one offering support to each other. How much longer are we going to take before we start protecting our own heritage?
