How can you tell when your #shocks are shot? The rule of thumb - TopicsExpress

How can you tell when your #shocks are shot? The rule of thumb says at 50,000 miles but it really depends on the #roads you drive on and your #driving style. Shocks tend to wear out gradually so you may be getting used to a #bouncier, #looser (and less safe) #ride. Notice if your #car bottoms out over railroad tracks and dips in the #road (or keeps bouncing after the fact) or if the front end dives sharply during hard #braking. Push down hard on each end of your vehicle (harder to do with high-riding #SUV’s and #pickups, but not impossible). If it keeps bouncing, then bounce into Kennebec Auto Service and have our #certified #mechanics check for leaks and worn out components.
