How come the Jews dont get it? ... The Conclusion of the Matter: Many of you have asked why the Jews dont see Jesus as The Messiah and I told you I would give you 3 Reasons. We covered Reason 1: Identity Theft, Reason 2: The Torah/Law and as promised here is the final and most important reason. Sorry about the gap in between the post but this one was the most difficult to write ... And it will be the most difficult to read and more importantly; Accept. Reason 3 ... Our Blood Is On Your Hands: So where did things go so wrong? For that we need to take a look at Biblical history. It begins with what is called Replacement Theology. Adherents to this view believe they have replaced the Jews in G*ds eyes. Replacement Theology teaches that the Jews get to keep all the curses and the Church get all the blessings. It may come as a surprise to you to learn that this began very early in the 1st century. Did you know the early church kicked the Apostle John (Yes! That John ... The Disciple That Jesus Loved!) and all the Jews out of the church? You dont believe it? I will show it to you in your own Bible! After the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD the Jews were scattered and the Gentile leaders began taking over the congregations. The problem was the most Gentiles had little or no foundation in the Torah to build on; Or put in a way you might better understand ... They had no knowledge of the Old Testament! One Greek pastor would not even allow the Apostle John, or other Jews, in the church. He even kicked out Gentiles who allowed Jews in. Most people read right over the verses that tell us this. John wrote : I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. Therefore, if I come, I will call to mind his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words. And not content with that, he himself does not receive the brethren (other Jews), and forbids those who wish to, putting them out of the church. (3 John 9,10) There it is! Even while the last one of Jesus original 12 disciples was still living the Gentiles were taking over the synagogues and kicking all the Jews out! For almost 2000 years there had been no Israel. In the absence of Israel; The Church assumed that it must be the one to whom all the future promises refer. Then; All the sudden through G*ds Promises to the Real Israel ... The Jews have become a nation again! What is the Church to do? There is not room for both of us ... That doesnt fit into the majority of the churchs theology. The antagonism of the early church toward Jews was reflected in the early Church Fathers writings. Here are some examples: Justin Martyr (AD 160) in speaking to the Jews said: The Scriptures are not yours, but ours. Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyon (AD 177) declared: Jews are disinherited from the grace of G*d. Tertullian (AD 160) in his treastise Against the Jews, announced that G*d had rejected the Jews in favor of Christians. In the early 4th century, Eusebius wrote that the promises of the Hebrew Scriptures were for Christians not Jews; the curses were for the Jews. He said the church was the continuation of the Old Testament and thus superseded Judaism. The young church declared itself to be the true Israel, or Israel according to the Spirit, heir to all the divine promises. They found it essential to discredit the Israel according to the flesh to prove that G*d had cast away His people and transferred His love to the church. In AD 306 Constantine became the 1st Christian Roman emperor. In AD 321, he made Christianity the official religion of the Empire, to the exclusion of all other religions. This signaled the end of persecution of Christians but the beginning of discrimination and persecution of the Jewish people. Lets look at how far off and how ignorant of the Scriptures Constantine really was. In the book of Numbers, there were some men who were defiled by a dead body and therefore could not keep the Passover at the appointed time, so they asked Moses for a solution. He said: “Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites: ‘When any of you or your descendants are unclean because of a dead body or are away on a journey, they are still to celebrate the Lord’s Passover, but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. They must not leave any of it till morning or break any of its bones. When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations. (Num. 9:8-12) At the Lords direction, these conscientious men were told they could keep the Passover in the second month. Now before we go on, let me ask you: Are we to do what G*d says ... Or go by what is convenient for us? Should we go by what G*d says ... Or by what the majority says? Do we do what seems reasonable to us ... Or to G*d? Are we to think of ourselves as higher than others ... Or act in humility? Can we improve on what G*d does ... Or are any of us qualified to be His editor? Lets see what was determined at the Council of Nicea in AD 325.From the Letter of the Emperor to all those not present at the Council. (Found in Eusebius, Vita Const., Lib. iii., 18-20.) : When the question relative to the sacred festival of Easter arose, it was universally thought that it would be convenient that all should keep the feast on one day; for what could be more beautiful and more desirable, than to see this festival, through which we receive the hope of immortality, celebrated by all with one accord, and in the same manner? It was declared to be particularly unworthy for this, the holiest of all festivals, to follow the custom[the calculation] of the Jews, who had soiled their hands with the most fearful of crimes, and whose minds were blinded. In rejecting their custom,(1) we may transmit to our descendants the legitimate mode of celebrating Easter, which we have observed from the time of the Saviours Passion to the present day[according to the day of the week]. We ought not, therefore, to have anything in common with the Jews, for the Saviour has shown us another way; our worship follows a more legitimate and more convenient course(the order of the days of the week); and consequently, in unanimously adopting this mode, we desire, dearest brethren, to separate ourselves from the detestable company of the Jews, for it is truly shameful for us to hear them boast that without their direction we could not keep this feast. How can they be in the right, they who, after the death of the Saviour, have no longer been led by reason but by wild violence, as their delusion may urge them? They do not possess the truth in this Easter question; for, in their blindness and repugnance to all improvements, they frequently celebrate two passovers in the same year. We could not imitate those who are openly in error. How, then, could we follow these Jews, who are most certainly blinded by error? for to celebrate the passover twice in one year is totally inadmissible. But even if this were not so, it would still be your duty not to tarnish your soul by communications with such wicked people[the Jews]. ... You should consider not only that the number of churches in these provinces make a majority, but also that it is right to demand what our reason approves, and that we should have nothing in common with the Jews. Do You Feel The Love? Right here is when the Church went grievously wrong: They got off of G*ds calendar, Did away with G*ds Feast(Holidays) and Devised their own man made holiday( Easter) by doing what their human reason approved and by following what the majority ruled. Why? ... Two Words: Pride and Anti-Semitism. One day Jesus asked the crowds around Him, Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord; and do not do the things which I say? (Luke 6:46) One of those things He said during His last Passover meal (Yes! What you have been calling The Last Supper was a Passover Seder!) was,This is my body which is given for you: Do this in remembrance of Me (Luke 22:19). We are to remember the Lords death at the Passover Seder every year. He died on Passover, which is Nisan 14 every year. If you reject G*ds calendar and G*ds Feast ... How can you do what Jesus asked? Most Churches do not even hold a memorial Passover to remember the Lords death as He commanded. Sure you commemorate the resurrection at Easter; But why not celebrate the resurrection when it actually occurred ... On The Feast of Firstfruits, when He became the firstfruits of the resurrection? And So It Is When You Allow One Error In Many Follow. Many of you may be saying, yeah but that was way back then ... So lets jump forward. Remember what happened in 1492? Columbus sailed the ocean blue. Well thats not all. It has long been speculated that he was actually Jewish, as were the people who accompanied him. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella had signed an order, called the Alhambra Decree, that declared all Jews had to leave Spain that year. The inquisition was in full force; and any Jews who would not convert to Catholicism were put together in their synagogues, and they would burn every man, women and child within while they marched around, singing, Christ , we adore thee. It was during this time that the Reformation was taking place and Martin Luther rejected Catholicism. So perhaps the Protestants would do better by the Jew? Ahhhh No! Lets take a look at the writings of the Father of the Protestant Church; Martin Luther. Here is an excerpt highlighting his vitriol: On the Jews and Their Lies (1543) What shall we Christians do with this rejected and condemned people, the Jews? Since they live among us, we dare not tolerate their conduct, now that we are aware of their lying and reviling and blaspheming. If we do, we become sharers in their lies, cursing and blasphemy. Thus we cannot extinguish the unquenchable fire of divine wrath, of which the prophets speak, nor can we convert the Jews. With prayer and the fear of God we must practice a sharp mercy to see whether we might save at least a few from the glowing flames. We dare not avenge ourselves. Vengeance a thousand times worse than we could wish them already has them by the throat. I shall give you my sincere advice: First: to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians, and do not condone or knowingly tolerate such public lying, cursing, and blaspheming of his Son and of his Christians. Second: I advise that their houses also be razed and destroyed. For they pursue in them the same aims as in their synagogues. Instead they might be lodged under a roof or in a barn, like the gypsies. This will bring home to them that they are not masters in our country, as they boast, but that they are living in exile and in captivity, as they incessantly wail and lament about us before God. Third: I advise that all their prayer books and Talmudic writings, in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught, be taken from them.... Fourth: I advise that their rabbis be forbidden to teach henceforth on pain of loss of life and limb. He did not teach in accord with the word of God, and therefore he forfeited the right to teach.... Fifth: I advise that safeconduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews. For they have no business in the countryside, since they are not lords, officials, tradesmen, or the like. Let they stay at home.... Sixth: I advise that usury be prohibited to them, and that all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them and put aside for safekeeping.... Seventh: I commend putting a flail, an ax, a hoe, a spade, a distaff, or a spindle into the hands of young, strong Jews and Jewesses and letting them earn their bread in the sweat of their brow, as was imposed on the children of Adam (Gen 3[:19]}. For it is not fitting that they should let us accursed Goyim toil in the sweat of our faces while they, the holy people, idle away their time behind the stove, feasting and farting, and on top of all, boasting blasphemously of their lordship over the Christians by means of our sweat. No, one should toss out these lazy rogues by the seat of their pants. The Bible declares that there is nothing new under the sun. Anti-Semitism was happening back then ... And its happening today. The church continues to build upon the sins of the fathers. There is a saying: That the Church started it all with forced conversions, declaring Jews cannot live among us as Jews! Then the nations of the world followed up on what the Church said and declared, The Jews cannot live among us! Then Hitler simply built on the foundation the Church had already laid and stated, Jews cannot live. Well; Do You Feel The Love? ... And You Ask Me Why Dont The Jews Get It!! The Bible warns Christians about not being pretentious and thinking they are better than the branches: (Roman 11:17-27) If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in. Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins. There is but One Tree; Israel. The Christians are grafted into that tree, Into Israel to whom all the promises of G*d belong. G*d declared that no matter what the Jewish people do; He Will Always Be In A Covenant With Them. The Church needs only read their Own Scriptures to know this is true ... It is truly sad that most of the church has not! The Churchs history is stained with the blood of the Jews. It is time for the Church to wake up from its pleasant sleep. Time to see its nakedness and begin to weep. Millions, Millions are crying from their graves. Invisible people calling out their names. Mothers and Fathers. Sons and Daughters ... Whose only crime was to be born a Jew. Only by acknowledging your history, repenting and learning from it can you avoid repeating it. How different history could have been ... If either Israel or The Church had got it right the first time...
