How could there be nothing, ever? If all of existence was one - TopicsExpress

How could there be nothing, ever? If all of existence was one thing, it could be an endless sea of that thing, maybe the purest white. But what would that matter in itself? It could matter, if the one thing was aware of one thing, aware of itself. The one thing realized it was, it existed, it was the brightest of white dots in an endless sea of black nothingness. The extent of that nothingness would be as far as that one thing could imagine. It was not only lonely, but alone. With no change, it would always be alone. So nothing changed along with itself, or rather it changed nothing by changing itself. The smallest pieces of white broke away, at the speed of change (time), and mixed with the nothing. Time had started. Space was created. The white began interacting with the black that was formerly nothing in all ways it could. The one thing, only thing, mixed with and made something out of nothing to form everything. The desire to not be alone (and unchanging) makes the white interact with the black. The desire for everything to be whole, and interact, is the attraction between all that is real. By surrounding some of that which was formerly nothing with itself, the white created something more, something material, matter. Now there was an inside and an outside to be aware of. There could be individual particles, objects, bodies or even beings, each with their own awareness. Change is time, space, interaction, feeling, attraction, diffusion, history, future, reality, matter, energy. Without it there is just white (and the present). Change requires birth, a time in existence, and death for everything except for white alone. The universe, by a point in time long since time started and a long time ago, was shaped by interaction of the white with the dark. Much of what was present in the universe was a result of countless prior interactions over time. At this point it was time to make even something more out of the one thing and that which was formerly nothing. Life. Life is made of matter, and feelings, and interaction. Life has awareness, ability to sense, capacity to react, to learn and to love. Life is in many ways a form rebuilt of the one thing within reality, but unlike the one thing cannot exist alone or without support. The conditions allowing for the state of being alive are very specific, very much dependent on the prior interactions of everything in the environment of anything which lives. If nothing else, the organisms of life are the seers and the feelers of the universe. These organisms are those things where chemical reactions and physical changes in matter caused by interaction are not only history, but also mean something more to the individuals involved in those interactions. All that lives loves life because life is interaction, life is love, life is full of that same thing that makes our universe better than an endless see of white, or a white dot all alone in a sea of nothingness. Humans, and all highly intelligent society-forming organisms that may exist elsewhere in the universe, represent an even higher level of interaction and awareness than life itself. Humans have learned to see much farther inward and outward, and have been faced with the tough questions of selflessness vs. selfishness. The improvement of goodness in society over time is proof to me that good interaction is the fabric of reality made from the one thing. The one thing may be the thread, but interaction is the weave. Love, good, gravity and the other forces of existence are all much the same. These forces result from all that which reality, with all of its interaction, beauty and change, holds over being alone and in isolation. If the big bang truly was the fragmentation of the one thing allowing our universe to exist, so that it could interact, so that it could make something out of the nothing to form everything, then maybe human society and the societies of other intelligent life forms are truly the reconstitution of the one thing (God, the light, energy, whatever) within reality (time). I guess to me the thought that the white could somehow educate an isolated part of itself (humans on Earth) regarding itself (and on what is good), is not that far-fetched. To provide an example in the form of a person, a Son of God, to set forth some of the rules for living. These rules may be like the rules of physics for the universe, except that we can choose whether or not to break the rules (to some consequence). The fact that many people put so much stake into an old book, or various books, and use these to justify hatred, wars, segregation and destruction just shows how much further we have to go. Assuming the scientists have been honest, and what has been found has been true, the evidence I see written in science, nature and within the universe to me has a much lower chance of having been modified for someones (or some groups) underlying agenda. If it could be shown that love for good interaction was the underlying reason for reality and our existence, maybe people would stop regarding the science we have learned as cold, uncaring, impersonal, with no heart. The truth for me now is that everything has some of the light in it and some of the black that was formerly nothing. I believe balance is key for most things living to thrive. After spending a lot of time in the light, we need some sleep in the dark, etc. I see it everywhere I look, in chemistry, nature and society. Maybe someday the unbelievable simplicity of reality, cloaked in the complexity (the reason it exists) of all its prior interactions, will sink in to human society. Our society is full of the metaphors already, Im amazed more havent simply put it together. It all started with the white, and then from nothing came the black, but now most everything is just a form of gray. Interaction is the reason for our existence. Meanwhile, Ill try to find a way to explain what I feel and understand. Saying Merry Christmas to my friends is one way of saying it, so that will have to suffice for now. Merry Christmas. (My timing may be off, but a lot of evidence indicates the date is off too.)
