How dare Rahm Emanuel and anyone else put the burden of Chicagos debt on its most vulnerable citizens. I worked for government for 25 years and took an early retirement. Why should I give up my annual cost of living raise and why should your property taxes be raised because Chicago politicians have raped the pension system. It is extremely difficult with the $100.00 cost of living raise to keep up with rising prices. Most retirees have exhausted their nest egg in an attempt to keep up. It is past time to speak up.
