How do I get through to the Aussie complaints department at Telstra? I got lied to by a Telstra Store assistant and made a decision to purchase a product based directly on that information. I went back into the store and was told that the information was definitely incorrect and that they would speak to the assistant who was busy at the time and call me later. No one called. Just before 5pm I called the store and no one answered so I left a message. The following day, still nothing, I called and left another message. This went on for a whole week. I called Telstra to complain and was told they would contact the store on my behalf and get someone to contact me, several days later, still nothing. I was sent a feedback form about my phone service and responded with a letter about what had happened, several days later, still nothing. I filled out a formal complaint form further detailing what had happened, over a week later, still no response. Yesterday I received a letter saying that my complaint had been referred to a case manager who had tried to call me and couldnt get in contact, though Ive had the same phone number since I was 22 and have not missed any calls or received any messages. In the letter dated October 31 (which is shown in an odd purple ink) it says that if they receive no response from me by November 5, the case will be considered closed however I can reopen it. The post mark on the envelope in November 5. I called the number this morning and was told that Telstra did not have the right phone number for me.... are you kidding? I was also told that I had to deal with the case manager I said I wanted to complain about the case manager on top of my complaint and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor, only to be told that she would have to take a message, send an email to the case manager, I would have to wait for him to contact me at which time I would have to tell him I did not want to talk to him and THEN I could organise a time to speak to a supervisor. I tried and tried to get the woman on the phone to put me through to someone and she wouldnt so I hung up on her, not before giving her warning. It seems like I have experienced a string of people that believe if they ignore someone with a complaint they will just go away, well, not when you are costing me money I wont. I dont do the hash tag thing, I barely bothered to understand it but who knows maybe this will get some attention because I do not know what to do next.
