How do some people convince themselves into listening to some bachelors and spinsters for marriage advice? What is it that they drink that leads them to kowtow their ears to people who havent experienced marriage? There are certain authorities and knowledge that are gotten solely by experience and marriage is at the top of that class. It is an experience; a practical union. And not some theoretical, witty, psycho-analyzed workshop. If you want to know and learn authentic advice, views and experiences on marriage, please do yourself a favor and listen to one of these people, its best if you listen to all of them and then apply your common sense by observation and understanding of the human psyche and sociology (that is if you have some sense at all): - The Divorced. If you one to know everything wrong about marriage listen to them and learn their mistakes and everything wrong about the human ego. Some good ones will always have something priceless to feed you with. - Couples older than a decade. Someone who did it and is successful at it is everything you need to learn that makes a union work. Theyll just give you the nuggets that worked for them - One who has been in more than one marriage. They are like people who have good working experiences in several works, their wisdom is nothing to ignore. Never listen to: - Some wanna be (single) marriage counselors. No matter the name they call themselves or their stuff: pastor, ministry, marriage calling or whatever. They just read from some fancy How to marry books, add some fancy bible quotes and witty lines and then mess you up. - Newly wedded. Anyone whose marriage is less than 20 years is unfit to give any marital advise. They havent seen nothing yet. They are not yet tired. Listen to folks who are tired, done all that and are still hanging on a full tank. - The bitterly divorced. There are folks who are just nuts. They are just living anarchy. As such the only person capable to living with them is themselves. When such folks want to give marriage advice, they are only tendering their suicidal patterns to you. Please note: There are no absolute laws and rules to success on anything. Never take anyones advice as absolute, divine and sacrosanct. A marriage between Imoh and Linda wont be the same like the marriage between Imoh and Ekaette. Linda and Ekaette are different personalities and so is Imoh. Their coming together will produce different results and social melieu.
