How do u say goodbye to your best friend? there something about a young girl and her dog that is so special. They grow up together from young outgoing child and playful puppy to university student and old lazy dog. There is a bond there that is irreplaceable and no one understands it but those who have experienced it for themselves. Lexie was the best dog any one could ever ask for. I remember going to ohio and looking at all the puppies running around and eventually picking the little girl with the pink ribbon bouncing around. I was one happy child that day. Lexie grew crazy fast but i loved the size of her even though she took up half the bed and the whole back seat on road trips that me and devan had to share with her. She would always wake me up in the morning with big slobbery kisses and pushing her whole head against my stomach wanting me to rub her head, she loved that. She was always there with me, following me around the house or when i had friends over just sleeping with us. You take care of them, make sure they are fed, take them to the doctor when they are sick, play with them everyday and sleep with them every night for 10 years.... You never know what you have till its gone. The last week of her life was the hardest, watching her suffer, grumble, not eat or drink, had to force feed her pills to her, canned food and ice cubes. There is that bond that is irreplaceable and i will never forget her or any of the memories.
