How do world powers perceive President Obama? What is the US policy on the dispute in the West Philippine Sea? Will the US side with the Philippine government if a shooting war erupts between China and the Philippines? Look at what China is doing in the disputed waters. Building its own island and eventually may build 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and more islands. Why? For her own selfish interest, China needs a military naval airport to protect itself and be able to mine the black gold underneath the sea. China must get oil to power its factories, cities, and homes. China is slowly but tenaciously grabbing shoals and islands that are too far from the mainland. She knows her might and billions of dollars are spent every year to develop, make, and upgrade its military wares. There is no match to her firepower. Its air force and navy are much larger than Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. So what is America doing but let China continue with the building of an island deceptively and forcefully, and no other powers have blocked this communist nation, by any means, her evil design to violate the sovereign rights of the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries. Except for Japan that will defend its territory at all cost because it has a capable force that can outsmart China and American pronouncement of assisting Japan in military confrontation with the later. But America helping the Philippines? I doubt she will openly come to be a defender of Filipino territory. The White House man is not seriously perceived as a strong leader of a supposedly ... the most powerful country in the world. Putin does what he likes to do in Ukraine. Iran keeps dancing the waltz and no breakthroughs are happening in nuclear issues. China keeps bullying the Philippines and other small countries. The US left Iraq like a beaten dog, and ISIS devoured Iraqi lands. So, how is Obama seen by other stubborn and disgusting leaders? You have the answer as mine. Weak, very pathetic in international affairs. The US is barking in low tones, in bass and in low keys. Never in tenor or mezzo soprano. So, Philippine leaders wake up. Stop your corruption. Time to buy defensive armaments, a credible force that will make China think twice before venturing out and playfully scoop rocks, soil, boulders, and cement from its mountains and dump them to the shoals owned by us, that will rise as Chinese little islands that will be lethal to neighbors in the coming years if nothing is done.
