How do you realize your purpose in life? Yesterday I met a gentleman at Nambitha during the Jazz live performance event that was organized by one of the members of the Promoters’ Association (SAMPA) He approaches me with such dignity and asked to take a picture with me. As we pose for the picture, he begins to tell a story of his life. “I was at Modderbee Correctional Centre when you came to visit us. You talked to us about the positive change that lies with us when we go back to the community. You also told us how important to make peace with those we had wronged as in that, lies our freedom from self condemnation to breakthroughs. I went back to my cell and wrote your words in a piece of paper and every night and morning I would pray over your words. To cut a long story short, I was released sooner than I was supposed to be because of change that happened in me after your visit. Today I work as a technician in one of the biggest automobile companies in the world, I have a family and a B3 Mercedes. Thank you for the life you inspired in me.” This is not the first time but the 4th person who was in prison and got encouraged during my visit. There are two who are law graduates and one who is running his own company of glass frosting… Whatever that you do effortlessly and naturally pleasing to you, often done towards impacting on another person positively, that indicates a purpose you have been called for and you will see by the quality results that often confirm that of which you have been purposed for and the reward is often the fulfillment than material gifts that you may get as a token of appreciation. A feeling that cannot be described by words and for me it often brings tears in my eyes, and a whispering voice to God that says, “thank you for choosing to use me in that person’s life. Pricelessssss!!!!
