✞ How does the Bible say we are saved? Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of *the gospel of Christ*: for it is the power of God *unto salvation* to every one that *believeth*;...” [emphasis mine] [Paul tells us here he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it’s message will save everyone who *believes(to trust in/rely-upon) the message.] Galatians 1: 11-12 11. But I certify you, brethren, that *the gospel* which was preached of me is NOT AFTER MAN. 12. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the *revelation of Jesus Christ.* [Emphasis mine] [Paul assures us he did not learn the gospel of Christ from the apostles or any other person except Jesus Christ by direct revelation] Galatians 1:8 ”But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed (Damned). [Emphasis mine] [Paul says if anyone, even an angel of God, preach *any other gospel* other than the one he preaches....let God eternally punish them.] Now Paul tells us the gospel below in the most concise terms as found any where in the scriptures the gospel message we must place our trust in to be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you, *which also ye have received*, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also *ye are saved*, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that *Christ died for our sins* according to the scriptures; 4 And that *he was buried*, and that *he rose again* the third day according to the scriptures: [One must *believe “ Christ died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full, was buried and rose from the tomb for our justification” And of course “to believe” is the conviction that something is true that we rely-on or trust-in and not mere intellectual knowledge.] .
