How effective is YOUR ventilation system? Or do you know if you - TopicsExpress

How effective is YOUR ventilation system? Or do you know if you even HAVE a ventilation system? We are currently studying and data monitoring interior Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels in parts per million (PPM) and evaluating ventilation system effectiveness by comparing outdoor ambient levels (being recorded simultaneously). Did you know that average outdoor ambient CO2 (you know, the fresh air we hope enters when we open windows) is now over 400 PPM? ( co2now.org) So this bedroom level of 775 PPM is pretty good, and demonstrates a very effective air exchange with outside- contrast this with the toxicity to humans image, which shows the levels where CO2 concentration become quite noticeable (drowsiness) at 13 times this concentration (about 10,000 PPM or 1% of the air). Isnt it great to use advanced building science test equipment to test, and not guess at, the quality of something so important to our health and well being.
