How happy we will be when chemo and the accompanying steroids are - TopicsExpress

How happy we will be when chemo and the accompanying steroids are finished in 2 weeks. We have been realizing how strange it is to have a child who has cancer that people describe as a less serious cancer. (As if you can have a little bit of cancer. Like a little bit of poop in a batch of brownies.) And ALSO has had 2 multi-organ transplants - both of which have rejected. You are not really accepted into the cancer world and there is very little understanding or awareness of the tumultuous bowel transplant world. How wonderful it will be to say goodbye and we beat you to one world. How strange it is that it is even beatable. The other world... it will not be beatable. No cure. No better. Only the hope for good days in between the waves of difficulties to make the fight worth it - always wondering if it will be the last. As Team Angel has begun to learn, Angel still wants to live and fight and finds a quality in life that is worth every second of hardship. We keep on. Cancer (big or small) will be one of our beatable battles. Praying that November 1st will be the last chemo!!!
