How has Perry failed in running Texas? Immigration is by law... a matter for the federal government to primarily deal with. The Supreme Court has recently ruled on immigration matters where local governments have tried to insert themselves into that stuff. Now certainly... we all know that the Fed is not doing its job ... its not enforcing the existing immigration laws which has put the border states like Texas in a very tough spot... both legally and in most all practical senses. Again... how has Perry failed? Theres not a healthier state in the Union. Theres not a state in the Union that has an overall lower cost of living. (I admit that there are some folks in Kentucky that get by on less... but, they have dirt floors.) And, our tax burden on the individual is one of the lowest in the Union as well. So again, how has Perry failed? The liberal community slams Perry because he is a strict Conservative, supporting traditional family values, morals, and God... in addition to believing in small government... a less intrusive government... a government staying out of the entitlement business...(that is currently strangling our federal budget). And as most know... Perry believes in the Constitution as written by Jefferson and signed by our nations founding fathers... not some twisted perverted version of it to accommodate todays whims. Now, I dont particularly want Perry in Washington. But, that doesnt mean I dont support the guy. The liberal community is clearly not satisfied with the status quo. They want Texas to be more like NY... or Cali. I think thats insane... and I most adamantly believe that those folks ought to pack their bags and move to those other states where things are more akin to their wishes. Simply put... if you dont like Texas... pack your bags.
