How insensitive we all have become in the struggles of our lives... Specially, in the metros. Witnessed it today. Amidst heavy rain since morning, among a crowd of 18-20 people waiting for auto at Balkum, saw this lady with her infant child. She was struggling hard to save her kid from showers. When asked why is she out with few months old kid in such heavy rains, got to know that the kid was under heavy fever and she came out to visit doctor. Surprisingly, the crowd was of majorly IT folks who were running late for their offices. These folks assume themselves of Smartizens. But, none of them was ready to let the lady board the auto even after knowing the problem she is dealing with. I was kind of shocked. The smaller Towns I Ive grown up in, Im sure that people have helped this lady going out of their ways. Anyways, after pleading and requesting, we managed to get her an auto. But, Im left with a shock. What has made most of us educated professionals so emotionless.
