How is it that some people like me find it more difficult to behave well during Ramadan? Well, theres that added pressure. Normally, I/we are not so conscious of how we behave... Come Ramadan, we try to be on our guard and thats when the prohibited stuffs become more appealing. Also, I tend to discover new traits/problems during Ramadan, probably because this is the only time we do an audit of how we act. May be, just may be Im hardcore evil. My nafs alone can keep up the pre-Ramadan fooling around through Ramadan, give or take the locked out demons. In the end, my crack point is my temper. I cant promise a tantrum-free day, perhaps people outta try not to perk up my temper that badly. Please keep Abbu & ammu in your prayers. Im barely home, but when I am home, Im barely up. Or, Ill be up when theyd be asleep. Abbu is not allowed to fast for years now, because of his ailments. We had to prohibit him from praying Tarawee in congregation this time. While we feel like culprits, God knows how much this has hurt him inside. Male egos are something, and it doesnt help when youre retired + home bound + dependant. Duafy, please. I feel hollow. Not feeling the hype this time . :(
