How its going in the Rocket City today people. We had some ideas submitted activities at the Con and i wanted to run them by you all seeing the general response. 1. A nerd/science/pop culture Game Show. We would basically have 4 man teams and they would battle each other in single elimination games and the last two teams standing would have the final showdown on a stage in from of the Con with a host. (prizes going to winning team) 2. Is a Nerd scavenger hunt around the hotel inside and out with reward going to the individual who finishes first ot we may do two man teams. 3. A silent auction starting Friday night and ending Sunday. 4. A Masquerade, show up in costume and flaunt/parade yourself for the judges can be group or solo and can have up to a 60 second skit involved. 5. The Ball. Dance a mingle to dance/trance/metal/Hip Hop/Nerdcore and dance the evening away and meet some new and interesting people (who probably dance way better than me) 6. Charity fundraiser. Pose for the camera in costume or all dolled up and have your picture put on the board as you wine, dine and generally schmooze your fellow Con goers to donate money in your box to a local charity that will be determined before the con starts. Whoever raises the most money will win a prize TBD and be able to personally present the check to the rep from the charity before the Masquerade There are more but these are preliminary ideas.
