How do you shrug off resistance or outright refusals?” Michael Driggers God bless you Mike for doing that. First, let me answer your question as to how many hours a day I evangelize. If I see someone while I’m riding my bike to work, I will give them a DVD or a tract. Often I will stop and witness to them. If we are working on a production, I take a camera to a local university and witness with the camera rolling. If I go to the store or the mall I will give out some tracts, or if an unsaved person comes to the ministry I will share the gospel with him or her. Each Saturday I open air preach off and on for about two hours. Don’t get the impression that I’m on the streets 24 hours a day, witnessing to strangers. God bless those who can do that, but I think I would soon suffer from burnout. Second, your question about giving out Bibles. We live in a culture of abundance where it is difficult to give away Bibles because most already have one at home. I’m sure you would have better success overseas. I suggest that you try again, but this time be a little more subtle by only taking a few Bibles and keeping them in a bag. Give out some tracts, and if you get the opportunity to share the gospel, follow it up with a free Bible. I’m sure you will have more success this way.
