How many of you here have noticed that a lot of answers given to questions are not coming from Orthodox. A lot of times, an Orthodox answer is given and is directly challenged by a Roman Catholic or Protestant slanted uderstanding. Some converts still carry the shadows of heresies learned. This is usually evident when Tradition is questioned or proof in the Bible or Canon is requested. If an Orthodox priest, clergy, layperson gives a Traditional and Canonical Orthodox answer, that is basically it. After all, that is what the rules of the group state? Some may wish to elaborate or give another example. An opinion that is not, is basically irrelevant. Orthodoxy and its teachings and Tradition are not up for debate. Ask yourself what your reason is for being a member of this group. Is it to deepen your understanding of Orthodoxy? Is it to answer questions to help those seeking to come home to Orthodoxy? Or is it to try challenge Orthodox answers? Hint: To challenge 2000 years of vetted Canon and Tradition is not the wisest thing to do. Interpretation of scripture taken out of context from a preacher or priest that has no knowledge of or denies the writings of the Christian Fathers doesnt compare. That is like using a map with no street names and no map legend to tell you what the symbols are.
