COINTELPRO, as some of you may know, is an abbreviation used for an FBI program called the Counter-Intelligence program which was a highly active government program to subvert and destroy popular democratic movements, especially amongst a unifying black community - which was seen as a threat and a crisis, by those in power. Power can only stay in power by keeping people divided - this documentary should give you a little bit of insight on how this was done in the past.
