How not to make spaghetti sauce when you are sick. Since we are both so ill and crabby I decided to make something to eat besides jam sandwiches. I ran into Target crabbed my pills and as I was running out I saw a bag of frozen Italian meatballs someone discarded in their basket... grabbed them and checked out. I knew I had the rest of the dinner stuff at home. I turn on the oven, through meat balls in pan...and start looking for the sauce. Nada...then I remember if it is in a glass jar Tony will put it in fridge to store. Aha, Prego extra zesty with garlic and mushroom....but it is empty..pletely empty. Tony also never removes said jars either. So I scrape the sides of the jar...into pan. cut the last three tomatoes up, add an onion in throw in the pan. Not quite sauce. I found a can of Tomato soup I do not remember buying and add it to the pan. Now it tastes like meatballs with soup over it. Vile. One time we had people over for football and I made TGI Fridays chicken wings with hot sauce...Didnt use the sauce and froze it. I didnt read the package, I didnt see condensed. Now I have the spiciest vile tasting soup sauce...but I have to save those %5.99 cent meatballs. I add ketchup. God help me, the noodles are done and the meat is in this concoction. I decided to rinse and drain all the sauce off the meatballs and just have the noodles on the side. Problem is the sauce mixture oozed into the meat...and I have to kill that spice...Aha, I think...mustard will mellow out the taste. I have three pounds of concocted meatballs in the freezer and Tony again had a jam sandwich with a side of butter noodles. My sainted husband said not to bad a supper....we are taking Rolaids to bed. Goodnight Gracie.
