How often we miss the message or the blessing because we are so worried about what we look like on the outside that we forget to cloth the inside. If we fill our spiritual closet with all the right attire (The Armor of God, The Holy Spirit, Our Well full of God’s Word, Clothed in our right mind and a tight relationship with God/Christ) then the clothes that we put on will always look and smell good because we will be walking around with a scent from heaven permeating from the pores of our body. When you are getting ready for church you are so worried about how well you look to others that you forget that you are going to receive the word and not for a fashion statement, you would rather people know you because of what you had on instead of what you are clothed in! Which should be the fruits of the spirit. Next time you are getting ready for church see how much time you take each morning or the night before preparing for church and then see how much time you actually spent preparing yourself to receive the message that is going to be delivered. If all you can remember when you come from church is what or how the next person looked, smelled or acted then what was your purpose in going at all because it surely wasn’t to hear what God might have had just for you. I pray that we stop going to church for a Sunday morning fashion show and go to receive what it is that God has prepared for you Amen. If should never be how well you look on the outside because it is what you receive on the inside that comes first. What we were on the outside all comes off when we leave church and get home or sometimes even in the car, but if we allow God to dress us in our heart, spirit and soul we won’t have to worry about changing our clothes Amen. Be clothed in the spirit at all times Amen.
