How the years go sailing past! They go by in a blink! One day you pause and realize... Tis later than you think. You bury friends and family and start to realize... Your mortal after all, my friend ...and everybody dies. You take an inventory of lifes sorrows...and its joys ( Remembring most the happy times and all your little toys) You think of goals accomplished and your failures just as well. You think of things you cant unsay and doubts you cannot quell. Mortality, that bane of man, seems but anothers fate... And miss your own lifes pageantry...with naught but empty plate. How strange your life should end one day. The final scene must play. We take each breath for granted and dont cherish every day. So... Happy birthday to myself! Im sixty three anon ! What happened to my days of youth!? I missed them. Now theyre gone!
