How to Be Saved • ADMIT that you are a sinner and have disobeyed God (Romans 3:10,23) • REPENT of all of your known sins against God or man (Mark 1:15) • CONFESS that Jesus is Lord and creator (Romans 10:9,10) • BELIEVE that Jesus died on a cross and that He rose again according to the Scriptures (Romans 10:9,10; 1 Corinthians 15:13,4; John 5:24) • ACCEPT Jesus’ payment on the cross for the penalty of YOUR sins (I Peter 3:18) • RECEIVE God’s free gift of salvation through faith (John 1:12, Romans 4:3-5) A Possible Prayer of for Salvation Dear Jesus, Thank You for making me and loving me. Please forgive me of my sins. I realize that I need You and that I cannot save myself through my own efforts or good works or prayer. I believe that I deserve to burn forever in hell as punishment for my sins, because You are holy and just and must punish sin. However, I beg You to forgive me. I believe that you died on a cross for my sins and then rose again. I ask You to apply the blood you shed on the cross to my life. Please impute Your righteousness to me and impute my sin to You via your sacrifice on the cross. I believe that this is my only hope of being saved and having eternal life with You in heaven. I want to follow you, but I am weak and do not know you well. Please help me to have strength to overcome my sin and the attractions of this world. Please help me to know You more and learn to obey You. Please help me be diligent to meditate on the Bible every day and believe it all. Amen.
