How to Urgently Stop Ebola Virus I write this post with a heavy heart & anger, just read that a fund set up to help stop ebola received $100,000.00 in a month, the money needed is $1 billion. This made me sad & angry, what kind of world are we living in? Pastor Chris once said man is wicked enough to destroy himself without help of the devil. In Africa we need to remove all current heads of state and their government, yes all of them. Take them to international criminal court for gross negligence, failing to think on the job. Heres what I believe they needed to have done & can still do URGENTLY, the options: 1. Raise income tax by 5% in every country. 2. Raise Sales Tax/VAT by 2%. 3. Sell government assets e.g. luxury cars used by government, they take public transport meantime or smaller cars. 4. Give tax reprieve of double the amount to organisations that fund this initiative. 5. Increase price of beer, cigarettes and other luxury goods for a brief period. 6. Reallocate budgetary expenditure and tighten belts for at least a month. How much can be raised from these initiatives within a month or even a week? Im sure more than enough to finance curbing ebola 50 times over. The balance can go towards building our own research facility to counter diseases. I remember a time it was $500 million required, as the disease spread, the bill increases. However they react now, all of them presidents must go for the simple question, what did you do to stop ebola? We elect leaders to formulate plans of action and direct resources at points of need, I know some fools will be like why pay Im only in Zimbabwe, well if ebola comes to Harare how much would you need to stop it? Grace Mugabe can sit her bum at home, all the money used for going around talking trash can go to fight ebola. But Africans we are indifferent to suffering, we are like Wildebeest that watch their own go down, even baboons dont let their own die without a fight & we hate to be called them, are we better? One day a disease worse than this will come, the bible says so, will we be ready or become extinct?
