How to help Lightning Squirrel get [more widely] published and - TopicsExpress

How to help Lightning Squirrel get [more widely] published and marketed, while trying to save his furry little tail - the long version: I found in our college alumni magazine this week that a fellow Wesleyan alum had hooked up with a new publisher called Worldmaker Media, which has an interesting model for identifying authors with whom to work, and books to publish. Their model is to identify authors and books and writing projects that are already getting a lot of electronic, online attention but are not full-blown published in print, and then bring them into the fold to work with those authors on publishing their work. It’s something that may be a good avenue for further publication and marketing for the Lightning Squirrel novels, those already in print (since they were technically self published - and still available - go buy them if you havent!) and those in (frighteningly tragic) progress - the three books of The Star Weasel Saga. Even more importantly, it’s gonna take a LOT of work to save the many literary lives with the sword dangling over them in The Star Weasel Saga, the upcoming Lightning Squirrel novel trilogy. One shot you might have? Visit Worldmaker Media, read what theyre about, and if you think they should be publishing Lightning Squirrel books, tell em why! worldmakermedia/ Really. Thats what you need to do. a) Increase purchases and online discussion of all works Lightning Squirrel. b) Go to Worldmaker Media and tell them that you know a writer with an INCREDIBLE project in the works who deserves their attention. Most information with infrequent updates on the Lightning Squirrel projects and merchandise can be found on my website, danokdath.tripod, including information on the comic book series (Issue 4 came out in January of this year), the charity anthologies, and the novels. You can also get frequent updates and join the discussion on the official Lightning Squirrel fan club page on Facebook (and sometimes right here on my personal page as well). Those who have really been paying attention the past couple years should already be both fascinated and fearful of what is in store for Lightning Squirrel and his co-stars, friends, colleagues, enemies, aw, heck, the whole planet at this point. Help both share and save the literary goodness that is Lightning Squirrel. Thanks for your interest and consideration.
