How to receive SSB mode using normal Short Wave Radio Receiver: Tune your radio A(black) to HAM band(7MHz etc.) until you can hear people talking loud voice but not clear to understand. Tune the radio B(red)with the speaker volume level down zero to the same frequency near the radio A until you can hear the whistling sound. Then slowly tune radio B tuning dial up and down gently until you can hear the much clear exact voice coming out from radio A. We call this as BFO(beat frequency is oscillator) where the radio B injecting the missing rf carrier into radio A reception. This mode if receiving is called SSB(Suppressed Carrier Single Side Band). SSB transmissions is no carrier or suppressed carrier. de 9M6 XDD
