How to take a bunny hutch and turn it into a predator proof all weather coop. 1- get a roll of 1/4 wire screen and a sheet of 1/2 aluminum faced foam board along with zip ties. 2- cut the 1/4 wire to fit in the places where the hutch has existing wire. 3- zip tie the 1/4 wire to the bunny hutch wire to prevent smaller predators such as weasels from getting in at night. 4- cut the foam board to fit over the wire windows of the hutch. You want to leave it a little long on each side by about 3-4mm to keep it snug for colder nights and later seasons. I also drilled a hole in the top with 1 1/2 bit, removed the dome from a pet trade clamp lamp and threaded it into the whole. This way I can put a small heat bulb in the hutch for winter months. 5- build a small latter to give them access from the ground. You want keep it at a semi flat angle to make it easier to climb.
