It will also enter your dogs information in a national map-based website. A notification is also sent to Helping Lost Pet members who have registered to receive email and /or text alerts of lost and found pets in their area. This alerts people who are not on Facebook and engages their help too. After you have registered please visit our website for more articles and tips on how to find your dog. lostdogsofwisconsin.org It’s very important to immediately notify all local animal shelters and animal control agencies in your area about the dog. If you’ve found a dog, they should be scanned for a microchip. Put flyers up in the area in which you lost/found the dog. Place ads in your local newspaper (usually found ads are free), and also on Craigslist to reach as many people as possible. We need your help to make this page successful! When you see a possible match or have a lead, please contact the finder/owner directly and leave a comment on the Facebook post to document the progress. Please keep us updated on your progress. When the pet is back home, please update their status by filling out our final status report.
