How we did it... We were approached by the facility manager to construct a stainless steel table for the lunch room at their office. They had some preliminary sketches we went over in a conference call to decide on exact dimensions, and materials. Our suggestion, as they were interested in an easy-to-clean, solution, was to use 304 grade stainless steel as the framework, and apply a brushed finish to it. They wanted to put a granite top on the table, so we needed to ensure the weight would be supported over what would ultimately become a table spanning nine feet in length, and standing forty inches off the ground. We used a combination of 1/8 thick stainless steel for the table. The supporting legs measured 3 x 3 and the frame for the tabletop measured 3 x 2. This stock was delivered in lengths of 20 feet to our shop in Revere, to be cut to size, and fabricated.
