How would you approach a bully situation with kids of different ages? I had a situation last night where my daughter called me and told me that a 9th grader was bullying a 3rd grader and my boy who is in 6th grade was there and did nothing. Now my daughter who is in 7th grade stood up to the 9th grader. I went up to the bus stop this morning and talked to all the kids about 12 of them about bullies and if they had ever been bullied. Most of them had been bullied. When I talked to the 9th grader, he knew why I was there, he looked so ashamed, tears in his eyes, and I just talked to him about the affects and asked him why! And thats when the bus came. I hope that this incident is only a one time thing. I talked with my kids and I also hope this was a learning experience for my son and the other boy. I have good son and I dont want him to think that this is ever ok to be a bully and that it is ok to stand up for whats right.
