Howdo, looking for wise words please! After years of insisting Im flat pedals for life, never riding clipless, etc etc I have decided to eat my words and switch. (I did ride SPDs for a few years when I was a nipper but thats long forgotted!) My old 5.10s were worn out and I was finding my feet getting bounced off the pedals a bit on the steeper techier stuff in the valley. I opted for Crank Bros Mallet 3 with 5.10 Maltese Falcon, after a little research and have them mainly setup now, although not been on my first ride yet... Anyway, I have set the cleat position pretty much at the rear limit with stable and comfortable descending in mind. However I cannot unclip until my cranks are level or higher as the shoe hits the crank arm before it rotates far enough. I definitely have the cleats right for the faster 15degree release so its all down to the combination of shoe/pedal/cleat position. Does anyone have experience of similar they can share thankyouplease?
